The Earth Country is mostly comprised of desolate, rocky areas. The border of the Land of Earth runs along a rocky mountain range, blocking communication with other countries. The wind blowing from the north passes over these mountains, carrying small rocks from the Land of Earth to the surrounding countries..

The Wind country is marked by deserts and dry mountain ranges. The Wind Country is one of the larger ninja countries in the Naruto world, though it only borders Rain, River and several unnamed countries. Its western most borders are currently unrevealed.

The Water country is one of the smaller countries in the series, but it has a strong ninja force. This coupled with it being an island grants the country a great defense against outside threats. The greatest threats to the country seem to come from within, constant wars and strife has caused many citizens and ninja to turn against themselves and the country leadership.

Sub-board: Kirigakure

Village Hidden by Sound was the personal hidden village of Orochimaru, which was founded for the express purpose of collecting ninja for his experiments and his quest to learn all techniques. Otogakure is not really a village, but a giant laboratory composed of various hideouts and bases scattered throughout the Land of Sound and various other countries.

As the name of the country suggests, the climate is rather cold with winter covering the land in snow and ice year round. The landscape is dominated by snowy mountains with tall glaciers making parts of the coastline inaccessible from the sea.

It is an island nation in the shape of a crescent moon, hence the name. The guards of this country's kingdom wields sabers, spatha and spears.

Its located in the middle of the country surrounded by a canyon filled with poisonous gas which the locals call the Devil's Ravine. The canyon serves as a natural barrier to prevent raids on the village. Hoshigakure was formed sometime after a strange meteorite, which the inhabitants called the "star", struck its location two hundred years earlier.

Although it has never been named, the country Kusagakure is located in has been shown on several occasions. The country is rich with forests, some consisting of giant mushrooms or bamboo. It also seems to have many rivers and deep ravines.
